30 Days Of Truth: Day 2 I Love

Day 02 → Something you love about yourself.

It was much harder to think of something that I love about myself than it should be. I can think of lots of things I dislike/hate about myself but love is harder.

One of the things that I love about myself is my strength. I've been through a lot in my life. I'm so thankful that my mom raised me to be a strong person so I could get through everything I've been through.
My strength got me through one of the hardest things I've been through. Leaving my incredibly dysfunctional, toxic, abusive marriage. At the point I left, I was at a very low point. My self-esteem was on the floor. Somehow I was dragging myself from day to day. I couldn't see past the day I was in. What got me through it was my strength. I was determined that I deserved something better than what I was getting. Although, I didn't really believe it, at the time. During that period, I realized how strong I actually am. It's one thing I'm most proud of about myself.

To show the world my strength, I had the word "Strength" tattooed on the inside of my left wrist. It's one of the most meaningful of the tattoos that I do have.

  1. It takes an incredibly strong person to leave a marriage like you left and I am glad that you can now see that and give yourself a pat on the back. Like you said it is one of the most difficult things to do so if you are strong enough to do that than you have the strength to over come anything.

  2. I know how you feel Marie when you lose someone that you love without a proper goodbye. When I was at work about ten years ago a very very dear coworker came to work on her day off to do some shopping. I saw her walk in, but I was busy and decided that I would talk with her the next day, that night she went to sleep and never woke up. I am still sad that I did not say hi and share our normal hug.
