Sharks swimming overhead, Cold weather, Spaghetti & an Asthma attack

Woke up feeling sick. Asthma was bothering me. Felt like I could throw up for days. Didn't feel like going anywhere but we were supposed to go to the Aquarium. Got caught in traffic. Carlos and Kelly were way late getting back to the hotel. My dad was annoyed. Aquarium was cool. I love the sharks swimming overhead the best. If anyone comes to Gatlinburg, I highly recommend Ripley's Aquarium. After that, they wanted to walk around. I wanted to sleep. I wanted out of the cold. I wanted my inhaler. Walking around in cold weather with asthma is recipe for disaster. Kelly and I went in this sports memorabilia shop, found a ton of Michigan stuff. I got a lanyard keychain thing and she got a license plate. We ate at Wendy's. They walked around, I stopped to visit Mom.

After all of that, Kelly left to pick up Justin and the dogs and head out to Moms. Carlos and I drove out to Moms. I am feeling miserable. Coughing my darn lungs out. Wheezing like crazy. It only gets worse. We sit down to dinner, I can barely eat my spaghetti. I give it to my brother. After dinner, I get worse. I'm in tears because I can't breathe. I'm sitting in the bathroom, crying my eyes out and coughing my head off. I decide to go to the ER for a breathing treatment. I called Tiff to tell her I'm going to the hospital. She insists on going with me. So I leave the house and head to Tiff's work. On the way there, I completely have an asthma attack on the way there. I'm almost positive I am going to die. I don't even know how I make it to the office. While I'm waiting for her to come out, I try to calm down. She drives.

I am almost certain in a former life she was a Nascar driver. Or maybe a car thief. She definitely was driving it like she stole it. We made it from Gatlinburg to the emergency room in Sevierville in 10 minutes! She's proud of herself. The waiting room was packed when we walked in. I go up to the desk and the nurse asks what is wrong. My voice is almost completely gone and it just hurts to talk. I manage to squeak out "asthma". He puts a pulse-ox thing on my finger and gets the reading. I was 95%, he was satisfied with this reading and says " Well, you're not an emergency so fill this out and have a seat". Umm.. ok. My pulse was 130. I can't talk, it hurts to breathe. We sit there for 2 hours and I haven't even been triaged yet. My breathing had calmed down some. I know I still needed a breathing treatment. Tiffany said " I think my mom might have a breathing machine". She called her mom and she said to quit waiting around their and come to their house for a breathing treatment. Speed-Racer Tiff got us from Sevierville to their house in 15 minutes. Normally a 30 minute drive. My tires are probably ready to fall off my car.

So glad her mom is a nurse. And that they had breathing equipment there. She took my vitals. I was still wheezing bad, my bp was sky high and my pulse was still high. She gave me a breathing treatment and after that I felt a little better but was shaking like crazy. My nerves were kinda shot so she gave me something to calm down.

We got home around 1am. I felt bad about missing my night out with my family but I couldn't help it. Feeling very drained and worn out.
