Tonight at work, I took a phone call from a woman who needed to cancel her reservation. She then started crying when she was telling me why she wanted to cancel.
She said that her brother was killed in Afghanistan. My heart went out to her. My baby brother has joined the Navy and I know deployments are part of his new career. I couldn't even imagine what she was going through. She kept apologizing for crying. I told her to take her time, she cried for a few minutes then we finished the call.
It really broke my heart listening to her cry. Sometimes it's easy to forget that these soldiers & service men and women are someone's Father, Mother, Husband, Wife, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter and friend. Let's keep them in our prayers.
